So, bare with me here, first blog post ever...yay! Well, I'd like to say, welcome to my blog about college! I created this in order to share true college experiences and advice with those either preparing to go to college, new to college or just anyone who wants to learn some things they maybe didn't know. As a tour guide, my first day on the job I was given a manual, full of information about the college. Most of the things they tell you to say you already know. But I was surprised after reading it, just how many things are in there that are wrong. So, my job is to debunk myths about college, and let you all know what is really up.
I guess I'll start off with one topic, for opening. During orientation they may tell you how you have the possiblity of having a room to yourself when you become an upperclassman. Well, what they don't tell you is that often times they will charge you extra room and bored fees for having a single room. So, while the luxury of having a single room would be great, that extra cash they tack on isn't.
Having your own room is like a, "BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!" moment. But instead of a bonus offer, turns out they're tricksters who just zapped money out of your bank account. Hurraaah!
